White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

So Easy! The perfect combination of sweet and salty!
White Chocolate covered pretzels! YUM!
Ingredients:
White Chocolate for melting. I usually make these at Christmas time. Sam's Club carries  2.5 lb. blocks of Ghiradelli White Chocolate during the holiday season. I find it is the best tasting white chocolate for pretzels.

Small Pretzels-Again Sam's Club usually carries huge containers of Christmas shaped pretzels during the holidays. You can use any pretzel or shape you prefer.

Sprinkles-red and green for Christmas!

Chop the white chocolate into small pieces, then melt it in the microwave, dip the pretzels and place on wax paper lined cookie sheets, shake on the sprinkles while still warm, then wait for the chocolate to harden. That's it!

Melting Hints:
Container: I find the best container to melt the chocolate is a small white opaque pyrex type heat proof dish. I have a couple I love to use-you don't want high sides on the dish. Not much luck with using clear glass containers. You can also find some disposable melting trays in craft stores which work OK too.

Melting Time: You will need to experiment with time and settings on your microwave. Melt a small amount of chocolate to test first. I'd start with 1 minute at 30 percent power. Always reduce the power setting when melting chocolate in the microwave. If it is in for too long or at full power, your chocolate will become lumpy, so be sure to err on the side of not melting it long enough. You can always put it back in for more time and up the power setting. Stir between melting times. It should be very creamy before you start dipping the pretzels.

How to Dip: I usually use a meat fort with 2 small prongs. It can fit inside or under the pretzel, and I find it easy for me to use. Might also use a toothpick, Chop Sticks, or anything else you find in your kitchen that works for you.

Shoobie, those look great! I love making festive treats for every season, and the combination of sweet and salty is a nice change from all the other sugary treats that show up at Christmastime. Thanks for shopping at Sam’s Club. – Carrie from Sam’s Club
